Zen Shiatsu is bodywork that was
developed by Shizuto Masunaga to give current shiatsu a more meditative flow. His aim was to treat the whole
meridian system not just certain acupressure points as do other styles of shiatsu. He incorporated the
energetic philosophy of Chinese five element theory and diagnosis of the body’s energies or Chi. He also
extended the traditional acupressure meridian system from current knowledge of the day.
